Associate Communications Technician (Camp Arifjan, Kuwait)
Performs routine technical functions related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of communications equipment (i.e., voice, data, network, satellite).
Assist senior personnel in formulating and developing communications requirements and design standards. Perform complex studies to determine networking capacities and reliability and make recommendations to augment and/or enhance existing communications networks. Provide technical problem diagnoses and resolution support for all associated subsystems including line monitoring, modem loop-back tests, LAN performance monitoring and terminal failure determination. Provide hardware and software installation and configuration support. Commensurate experience and education.
Primary & Essential Accountabilities
Performs routine technical functions related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of communications equipment (i.e., voice, data, network, satellite)
Monitors performance and locates problems
May assist with instructing customers on the operation and proper use of equipment
May be located at a customer site or in an operations center
May interface with vendors on new technology and system updates
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
High school diploma
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
High school diploma and three years experience
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance.
