DRS Naval Power Systems (NPS)a multi-site operation responsible for $350 million of revenue with locations in Milwaukee, WI, Bridgeport/Danbury, CT, Fitchburg, MA, and High Ridge, MO with an employee base of approximately 900 employees. NPS is structured into four Lines of Business: Surface, Submarines, Nuclear instrumentation and Controls and Marlo Coil focusing on supporting the power and propulsion needs of the U.S. Navy. We provide engineering, manufacturing and lifetime support of our highly engineered products.

Review, prepare, submit and manage Engineering Change Orders per all applicable ISO processes using Omnify Empower Business Suite. Check all completed documents for accuracy and manage files, Adobe library copies and administrative archives. Prepare performance metrics within the scope of Engineering Design Documentation. Assist other departments, customers and vendors with preparation of document packages when needed. Provide backup support to other document coordinators and occasional support to special project or proposal development teams using MS Word and Excel. May assist with internal or external business audits. Provide occasional support with Siemens Teamcenter Version 9.1 administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with limited supervision to process routine Engineering Change document packages on schedule with a critical focus on timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. Show excellent teamwork in support of customer needs for quality work products and on-time deliveries. Demonstrate creativity, energy, and the ability to plan, manage, and communicate progress on document coordination assignments.

Familiarity with MS Office applications
Ability to type proficiently
Familiarity with or awareness of MIL-HDBK-61A Configuration Management Guidance
Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge
Experience with MS Excel formulas, pivot table, and chart functions for data analysis and reporting
Experience with Omnify Empower Business Suite and/or other PLM and ERP systems
Experience with process design and workflow enhancement
Experience with configuration and data management functions in a military, DoD or industrial business environment
Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter PLM Data Manager or ability to learn.
Knowledge of US Navy MIL standards and industry specifications commonly used on engineering drawings
