DRS Naval Power Systems (NPS)a multi-site operation responsible for $350 million of revenue with locations in Milwaukee, WI, Bridgeport/Danbury, CT, Fitchburg, MA, and High Ridge, MO with an employee base of approximately 900 employees. NPS is structured into four Lines of Business: Power, Motors, Nuclear instrumentation and Controls and Marlo Coil focusing on supporting the power and propulsion needs of the U.S. Navy. We provide engineering, manufacturing and lifetime support of our highly engineered products.
Job Location:Milwaukee, WI
Coordinator required at the DRS Milwaukee location to provide administrative support to talent acquisition and HR functions due to increased growth in business and recent contract awards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs administrative activities in support of the Human Resources organization. May take assignments from various areas of Human Resources, such as recruiting, onboarding, interview coordination and other HR tasks as necessary and needed by the department. May update and maintain the HRIS systems. May respond to outside queries from vendors, and companies verifying employment under the direction of HR management.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and 2+ years of related coordination experience
Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with candidates and internal and external customers
Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, produce work of the highest quality, and meet deadlines consistently
Must have knowledge of office procedures and good writing and verbal skills
Proficiency with typical business systems including MS Office suite, ERP systems
Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, in a normal office setting
US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge
2+ years experience coordinating recruiting and staffing operations in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ADP, Deltek, Oracle or other ERP systems
Familiar with the functionality of Applicant Tracking Systems
While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires normal manual dexterity, speech and hearing. Specific vision abilities required by this job require frequent use of a computer monitor. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
