The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for Electrical Engineers on complex development programs

  • Present program technical status to internal management and customers

  • Perform research, design, and development in areas such as analog and power circuit design and other general electrical engineering design functions

  • Develop specifications for and perform a selection of components for use in electrical circuits

  • Provide clear and comprehensive guidance for the proper layout of circuit board designs

  • Compile and analyze test data to determine the effect of design on electrical circuits

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize/prioritize job assignments and tasks.

  • Provide schedule and earned value reports to project leadership

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen

  • Minimum 10yrs Experience with Bachelors, 8yrs with Masters

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Design experience with analog and power electronics, forward and flyback converters, EMI suppression, surge and spike suppression for vehicle powered systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Work experience with POL supplies, class D amplifiers, MIL-STD-461, MILD-STD-1275, EMI testing, simulations with LTspice

  • Cadence/Allegro Tool Experience

  • Highly skilled at circuit-level debugging/troubleshooting

  • Experience laying out and reviewing PCB designs before fabrication

  • Experience writing test procures for circuit-level checkout
