Job Title: Entry Level Electrical Engineer
DRS provides graduates with the opportunity to contribute to technical projects and tasks in their area of interest/study from day one. Positions are available for December and May graduates.
Opportunities exist for candidates in the following areas:
Electrical Engineering: RF Design to 40 GHz, Electrical/Electronics Design, Hardware Prototyping, Test, and Integration, Digital Signal Processing, Instrumentation, and Firmware Design using VHDL
Duties and Responsibilities
Entry Level Engineer performing the following activities:
Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of very high performance RF products, systems or subsystems
Review specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and customers as required
Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers, engineering technicians and support personnel
Involved with the design, development, analysis, testing and debugging of high performance hardware and/or systems
Must be working toward Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering with a 3.0 or higher GPA and have graduated by date of hire.
Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge
Previous internship and/or co-op experience preferred
Physical Requirements (Lifting, Walking, Bending, Stooping kneeling etc.)
Lifting up to 25 lbs up to 25% of time
Walking: up to 25% of time
Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
Sitting: up to 75% of time
